Rita Hayworth: Used, Abused, and Confused.

If you thought Marilyn Monroe had a rough life, her existence was calm and collected compared to that of Rita Hayworth. In the 1940's, she was the number one pin-up girl for American soldiers. By the 1980's, she had become the poster child for Alzheimer's. She was the first American movie star to become a Princess by marrying a foreign potentate. Yet, she always ended up marrying the wrong kind of men, who would use and abuse her. She wanted to be a loving wife and mother, but she ended up having to be cared for by her own daughter as her mind faded away.

Thomas Canfield will have a look at her natal chart, and examine the course of Eris, dwarf planet of discord, through the events in her life. There are many shocking stories to be told, and many a tale of dark and brutal activity. If ever there was a cautionary narrative about the illusory nature of fame, the story of Rita Hayworth will show that sometimes success and glamour are just not worth it.
